Candy Black

December 20th, 2010

Candy Black is a creative studio working in the fields of branding, creative direction, graphic design and interior design. I came across some pictures of their awesome studio. A lovely combination of black and white with some cool furniture makes this office one of a kind. One great detail is the skateboards on the wall and I also like the text on the wall saying “possible can be done immediately. We’re already working on the impossible. But please allow 48 hours for miracles.“. Check out their site here.

The RED Scarlet

December 16th, 2010

This is RED Scarlet… This is revolution! If you thought 1080HD (1920×1080) is good. Wait till you see what this camera can do! This camera shoots 3k  video at 120fps and scaled 720p or 1080p recording at 60fps. Of course there’s the RED One and the RED epic with higher resolution. But they are way out of price range for normal people. While not cheap. $5,000 for the “lens and brain kit”. It’s cheaper than the RED one and RED epic.

Naming The Dead by Dan Osman

December 13th, 2010

A very unique concept by Dan Osman. This concept won White Total Design Award 2008. His description: “Naming The Dead focuses on the 176 soldiers who lost their lives in Iraq. It was designed to give a better understanding of the soldiers, where and how they died as well as covering issues relating to conspiracies about why the UK went to war. Research included interviews with soldiers and their families.”

Retro Brochures

December 6th, 2010

Whenever I look at retro furniture I wish I was born in the 50′s! I love the brownish colours and the awesome design. I reckon retro furniture has more soul than today’s furniture. I can clearly see the colour and design trend between today and back in the days. Present day has more grey colours and not so much wooden design while they used more wood and more brownish colours before. It’s funny how they called it “modern” and what they considered modern then we today call retro.

Nuclear Dawn by ApneicMonkey

December 1st, 2010

I’m a frequent visitor of deviantArt and once in a while I stumble across talented artists. ApneicMonkey made 3 promo images for InterWave Studios of their new game Nuclear dawn. I reckon he did a pretty good job! I specially like the motion blur and the depth of field in these images. ApneicMonkey can do Illustrations, Concept Designs, Fan Art, Portraits and prefers if it’s within Sci-Fi, Space Fantasy or general Fantasy genre. If you like his work hit him up on deviantArt.
